Fitness for Moms: Finding Time for Exercise with a Busy Schedule

Hey Mama!

As a mom, it's easy to put our own needs last. But exercising regularly is crucial for both physical and mental health.

So, how do we find time for exercise with a busy schedule?

Here are some tips that work for me:

1. Schedule it in: Treat exercise as a non-negotiable part of your daily routine, just like brushing your teeth or taking a shower.

2. Find activities you enjoy: Exercise shouldn't be a chore. Find physical activities that bring you joy, whether it's walking, dancing, swimming, or yoga.

3. Involve your kids: Exercise doesn't have to mean leaving your kids behind. Find activities you can do together, like going for a bike ride, playing tag, or practicing yoga.

4. Start small: You don't need to set aside an hour for exercise. Even 10-15 minutes of physical activity can make a big difference.

5. Make it convenient: Find ways to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine, such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator or doing a quick workout at home during naptime.

Some of my favorite mom-friendly workouts include:

• Postpartum yoga: A gentle and restorative practice that helps heal and nourish the body after childbirth.

• Stroller walks: A great way to get some fresh air and exercise while spending time with your little one.

• Bodyweight exercises: Quick and effective workouts that can be done at home with minimal equipment.

• Dance workouts: Fun and energetic routines that can be done with your kids or during naptime.

Remember, every bit counts! Even small amounts of physical activity can have a big impact on our overall health and wellbeing.

With love and motivation,
