Hey Mama!
As a mom, it's easy to put everyone else's needs before our own. But prioritizing our physical health is crucial for maintaining energy, strength, and resilience.
Here are some tips that have helped me prioritize my physical health:
1. Schedule self-care: Treat self-care as a non-negotiable part of your daily routine, just like brushing your teeth or taking a shower.
2. Find activities you enjoy: Engage in physical activities that bring you joy, whether it's walking, running, swimming, or dancing.
3. Start small: Begin with small, achievable goals, like taking a 10-minute walk each day or doing a few push-ups each morning.
4. Make healthy eating a priority: Focus on consuming whole, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
5. Get enough sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to help your body repair and recharge.
6. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help flush out toxins and boost energy.
7. Find a workout buddy: Exercise with a friend, family member, or personal trainer to help keep you motivated and accountable.
Some of my favorite physical activities as a mom include:
• Postpartum yoga: A gentle and restorative practice that helps heal and nourish the body after childbirth.
• Walking with my baby: A great way to get some fresh air and exercise while spending quality time with my little one.
• Home workouts: Quick and effective exercises that can be done in the comfort of my own home, even with a baby in tow.
Remember, prioritizing your physical health is not selfish; it's essential. By taking care of your body, you'll become a happier, healthier, and more resilient mom.
With love and wellness,
